Funeral Horses in Teams of Four or Six
A horse-drawn hearse can be drawn by a pair of horses or by a team. For a team funeral, four or six of our funeral horses draw the hearse together, each one dressed in the same plumes and drapes, so the procession is longer and fuller.
A team can draw our black, white or silver hearse. Two of our fully qualified coachmen and women drive it, in formal dress and top hats.
Calm in Traffic
Our horses are experienced on rural roads and busy city streets alike, and traffic does not easily unsettle them. Your funeral director will plan the route with you.
Black, White or Domino Teams
Our horses are black Friesians and white Irish Sport horses. A team can be all black or all white, chosen to match the carriage or to stand out against it. A "domino" team mixes the two.

Black Friesians
An all-black team, matched to the black hearse or set against the white or silver one.

White Irish Sport horses
An all-white team, matched to the white hearse or set against the black one.

A domino team
Black and white horses together in one team, in matching plumes and drapes.
Outriders on Horseback
If you would like, outriders on horseback can accompany the hearse as part of the procession.
Plumes and Drapes for Every Horse
Every horse in the team wears matching plumes and drapes, made in house in the colour of your choice. Given enough notice, we can also make drapes in a national flag or a football club's colours.
